Description: Example of “Marina” style of Safeway stores, which were modeled after the company’s 1959 store on Marina Blvd in San Francisco. Features typical of the store type included the curved roof, glazed facade and mosaic tile.
The Safeway branch closed in 2013. The building still exists and is now occupied by the Hong Phat Food Center.
